Rosita would not have called who she was at the start of it all strong; not now that she knows how strong she can be anyway, not now that she knows how to take care of herself.
She leaves it, though. "What other questions do you have?"
It's a mutual feeling; if she ever catches wind that this Roman guy is back around, she can't promise what she'll do about it. The world she comes from has pretty much ripped out the natural aversion most people have to killing their own, and then some.
That's for later. For now, she glances away because she's confident but she's not fucking amazing confident, but she smiles anyway.
"Well. Sounds like we have a plan then," she chuckles, and raises her water glass in salute.
"I have a copy of the one I signed with Jacob," she says, nodding vaguely towards the drawer on the table by sofa. "I was working as a paralegal when everything went to shit, not long but long enough I kind of remember the lingo. Duplicity's set up so Dominants can get what we need regardless, so most of it's skewed towards the Sub side of things. What I need is more on the side of things I'm not putting into writing, like if you decide you don't want to sign with me again in three months that's fine, just give me a heads up. If you want things to change somehow, cool, we talk."
She's no longer used to places with a court system and where words written on a piece of paper mean more than what a person can physically do.
"You have property, a place you want to live, a job? Anything like that we need to work out?"
“I don’t own jack.” Not since coming back anyway. “I’ve not got much honestly. I teach martial arts at the red emerald but so far I’m struggling for gigs. Apparently I’m too much of a trouble maker. Kinda why I need this though. I need help to look like I’ve been brought under control and that I’m a good little submissive. And you’ll look like the powerful dominant who tamed the jailbird. Then I’ll get hired somewhere and you’ll get to fit in with the sin guards.”
"Those are all good perks," she agrees - anything that keeps them off the radar of the city until they're good and ready is fine by her, even if she's still wrapping her head around the way things work around here - but she focuses on the first part.
"You need help finding a private apartment?" she asks.
Rosita, who hasn't had to pay rent or fuck around with a paycheck for over a decade before coming here, is only too happy to not have to figure out how to apartment hunt.
However: "You sure? There's a clause in there about any funds you earn at your discretion being available to you through a cash card. We could find someplace for just you."
“Honestly, I’d rather have the money.” Dinah grins. “I’ve not had cash in ages either. Fucking Beck made me work for free for months last time I was here. I burned through what I had just - you know?” She chuckles. “I’d rather be able to buy shit I want than pay rent on an apartment some place.”
There are a lot of things Rosita has been having trouble adjusting to being back in a city populated by the living. However, retail therapy was not one of them for long.
She's quick to say, "We should go on a spa day sometime. Celebrate signing or something." Because yeah, she gets that. She's still in Up housing after all.
"Alright. But if you change your mind, if anything happens, offer's there."
